Eric Frank is an Executive Vice President with Westwood Capital. He focuses primarily on international clients and US domiciled clients seeking to expand abroad. He has worked in nearly every Latin American and Caribbean country, as well as Russia, Turkey, and South Africa. Based on over US$12 billion in combined principal investments and market placements, his advisory and investment approach is hinged on integrating his extensive experience as an investor and as a debt arranger.
Prior to joining Westwood, Eric was a Director in Citigroup’s Global Special Situations Group, the firm’s proprietary investment group. He was responsible for multiple acquisition finance, equity, hybrid, and subordinated debt investments in Latin America. Much of the success of these investments was dependent on finding groundbreaking solutions that incorporated multiple competencies. His responsibilities at Citigroup also included representing the firm’s interests as a board member in its investments.
Eric began his career at Citigroup in the Global Securitized Products business, investing and arranging billions in structured debt across numerous asset classes, jurisdictions, and industries. His particular emphasis was exporting international securitization technology to local capital markets across the emerging markets or innovating new structured solutions based on local realities.
Eric led and managed independent market development initiatives alongside the governments of Mexico and Russia. These markets now account for over US$5 billion per annum in placements.
Eric received a BS in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Lehigh University.
