John M. Ogle

John has over twelve years of experience within top tier Wall Street firms. As part of Deutsche Bank Principal Finance Group (Buy side), he traded and managed multi-billion portfolio of CDS as well as CDOs, CLOs, CMBS, RMBS and asset back securities.  He also traded and co-managed an auction rate securities and variable rate demand notes book (peak book size of $6.5 billion) from February 2008 to June 2008 with $100mm in remaining exposure.

Before Deutsche Bank, John was at Morgan Stanley in proprietary trading where he traded and managed asset backed bonds, repackagings, and residuals from the securitizations of esoteric assets, including aircraft leases and auto loans as well as whole loans of fixed rate private student loans. He also has sell side experience at Morgan Stanley in the structuring group where he structured, through building analytical models, over $21.3 billion in primary issuance and repackaging of tradable securities, and analyzed assets for $10.5 billion in portfolio acquisitions with private equity advisory.

Prior to that, John’s experience at Wachovia Capital Markets and Bank of America Securities (Sell side) was on Asset Securitization and Commercial Asset Backed Finance field. He was responsible for client interaction and for new business sourcing. John documented and negotiated more than $5.0 billion in financing with representatives from companies in China, India, South Africa, South America and Turkey, syndication banks, legal and leasing advisors. He created structures for export credit agency guaranteed loans, commercial loans, leverage leases, and pre-export financing coupled with interest rate swaps, credit default swaps and swaptions for hedging purposes. John has developed and has additional access to full suite of trading, valuation and risk models required for trading and risk-monitoring of asset backed cash and derivative positions.

John has a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Columbia University in New York.
